Daytona City Ministries is a City Reaching coalition of individuals, churches, ministries and social agencies. Why can’t the Church in my city experience your Kingdom coming in power like these early believers did?” I believe that we can. Sometimes, if you want to discover why something is the way it is, you have to go to the root. Often the foundation of yesterday that today and the future is being built upon is faulty. It’s a case of cause and effect. There He makes the hungry dwell that they may establish a city for a dwelling place, and sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful harvest. He also blesses them that they may multiply greatly.” Psalm 107:35-38
Everywhere I go in Daytona I hear the same thing from the brethren, “God is calling me to a greater level of prayer for the Church and for the city.” Prayer is increasing and intensifying. As a result, faith is rising and the spiritual climate of our region is shifting.
These are the early indicators that authentic revival is on our the horizon. We are on the verge of a divine visitation which will bring Kingdom transformation. People are hungry for God. The Church is breaking down the walls of division which have divided us for so many years. Genuine humility and repentance is the posture of a people who are destined to experience the blessings of a Holy God.
Rather than dwelling on the desolation of the past let’s open our spiritual eyes and see what God is doing in Daytona and Volusia County currently. More than that, let’s believe God for what He’s intending to do in the future, if His Church (you and I) will just come into agreement with Him.
God has given us the city!! That’s a promise. It’s a reality based on the authority which He has placed upon us. So, whose report will you believe? Will you believe the report of those who only see the obstacles? Or will you believe the report of those who only see a God who removes all obstacles?
“With God, all things are possible.”
“If God is for us, who can be against us.”
“Greater is he who is in us than he that opposes us.”
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
“We are well able.”
“God has given us the city.”
God has given us Daytona. What’s your report about your city?

http://mycityministries.com

Reviving the Church of the City

Has our hope for our cities grown cold? We need to see our cities with the eyes of faith that Jesus has given us.If we can’t see transformation we won’t pray for transformation. If we don’t pray for transformation it won’t happen. Be it done unto us according to our faith. The problem isn’t that your city isn’y ready for harvesting. The problem is that the harvesters aren’t being sent out. What farmer in His right minid would venture out into his field to bring in a crop that he didn’t think was ready? But Jesus tells us that the harvest is ready. We don’t harvest because we don’t see the harvest with the eyes of faith. Read full article

http://mycityministries.com
